Christchurch born and bred, Greg Geddes has been in the automotive business for all of his working life.
He started at Avon Radiators at age 15 and has been in the business ever since. In 1995 he joined the team at Hornby Radiator Shop, an established radiator repair business started back in 1984 in Smarts Road, Hornby, two doors down from the current location.
He worked as a foreman for the next ten years and when the owner decided to sell, Greg and his wife Victoria decided to buy the business and “give it a go!”
Ten years later, Hornby Radiator Shop is considered one of Christchurch’s most reputable automotive businesses. Their experienced radiator specialists pride themselves on their high level of workmanship, quality service and competitive prices.

The workshop is located opposite Hornby Mall and since the earthquakes, the area has enjoyed steady growth, with many businesses and families relocating to the Hornby area. This has meant Greg’s workshop is busier than ever servicing, repairing, fitting and replacing radiators in cars, motorbikes and light commercials through to heavy agricultural and industrial machinery.
Greg’s best advice to his radiators Christchurch customers?
“Check and change anti-freeze every 12 months or 20,000 kms. Although the formula for anti-freeze has changed over the years, it still pays to do an annual check-up to check for corrosion. And take it to an Adrad radiator specialist, he’ll notice things you won’t, which could save time and money in the long run,” says Greg.
When Greg’s not working on radiators, you’ll find him busy building a new home workshop (man cave) as well as a nail and beauty bar for his two daughters.
